Our building blocks come from the foods we eat and impact our physical health, mental health, our sleep, DNA and energy levels just to name a few. I believe in the holistic picture where nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress and mental health all plays a role in our health. Nutrition is science, which is why I have an evidence based approach and the main reason why I have studied nutrition at a university level for many years at the same time tailor it to the individual I am helping. We are different, and the most important thing is to find something that is realistic you can maintain not only in the short-term but also the long-term. Therefore, I focus more on long-term results and approach rather than relying on quick solutions and diets.

Clinical nutrition

My background comes mainly from clinical nutrition where I have worked with patients in hospitals, in patient, out-patient, health centers and with different medical professionals such as doctors, nurses and occupational therapists (both in Sweden and the U.S.). I have helped different patient groups with different kind of diseases and health problems. The main ones I have worked with are cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, digestive and gastrointestinal issues, obesity and allergies/intolerances.

Sports nutrition

I have worked with many elite athletes including those in the NFL, NHL, Allsvenska soccer players (highest soccer league in Sweden), division one athletes in the U.S., including at UCLA, and Athletic Fitness athletes. I have helped with maximizing performance and recovery, gain muscle mass, lose body weight or fat.

I grew up around sports my whole life and my background in elite sports myself have always made it easy for me to stay connected to exercise. I worked as a tennis professional for many years and combined it with training sessions both for the players and at an individual level with personal training. During my time at the university I completed a fitness internship for one year under the supervision of exercise physiologists while working as both a personal trainer and group instructor. Anatomy lecture and anatomy lab were also included in my education for a full semester. I have worked and collaborated with many physiotherapists and chiropractors.

Presentations, media, consult

During my carrier I have held many presentations for different companies, athletic teams and patient groups. The topics I have presented have varied much depending on the audience but speaking in front of people is something I have done for many years and feel very comfortable with. I also am a guest speaker for Swedish Radio (P4 Sverige Radio Uppland) where I talk about nutrition, lifestyle and exercises. I have worked with several different companies who have been in need of a nutrition expert, whether that be when in need of evidence based nutrition information, creating a nutrition structure for apps or health clinics.
